For the past 12 years, I have guided countless clients to optimal health and well-being through dietary modification and behavior change.
Mission
I provide highly personalized, non-judgmental nutrition care in a safe and supportive environment. Many of my clients lament that their health care visits are brief and leave them feeling frustrated and unheard. My practice strives to reverse this trend. Visits with me are never rushed. I develop strong working relationships with my clients as we collaborate on establishing realistic goals to achieve desired outcomes.
PHILOSOPHY
There is no "one size fits all" dietary approach. I advocate balanced, nutrient-dense eating plans emphasizing plant based foods. I help clients foster a positive relationship through food using an intuitive eating model. I used evidenced-based practices to recommend dietary intake based on specific health concerns. I believe food choices are a major factor in the development of chronic diseases. As a result, modifying diet can impact health and wellness in the short and long term.
the Dietitian - Leslie Gaillard
Leslie Gaillard, MPH RD LDN CDE
I am a registered dietitian (RD), licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) in North Carolina, and a certified diabetes educator (CDE). I am a second career dietitian. As a former "techie" from San Francisco, I decided I wanted to work with people and not computers. Nutrition is not just my job; it's my passion.
In my spare time, you can find me in the kitchen cooking up a new gluten free recipe (I have celiac disease), striking a yoga or pilates pose, or outside soaking up some sunshine. My nutrition philosophy is a balanced blend of intuitive eating and personalization of dietary intake based on health conditions. The foods you will always find in my kitchen include eggs, berries, avocados, lentils, almond butter, arugula, sweet potatoes, and anything chocolate. Check out my recipes for some of my favorite meal ideas that are both delicious and nutritious.

Leslie is fantastic! She is super thoughtful and low pressure. I was nervous at first to try a nutritionist, but even from my first email question Leslie was so kind. She is very fast to respond, is flexible, and cares about your success and you as a whole person. I love that she isn’t pushing any agenda, but genuinely wants to help you succeed the way that you are looking for. And if you have questions, she will have answers – she is a wealth of knowledge. I recommend her to everyone I know.
Not all dietitians are created equal. I was interested in improving the diet of my son, and it proved difficult to find someone who could really help set us up for success. Leslie provided just what I was seeking. I left the first appointment with a clear cut and realistic plan to improve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I felt comfortable with her recommendations right from the start and would recommend Leslie to anyone who wants actionable advice from a pro.
